Week 1-Library 2.0 test drive

I have been very impressed with the CSLA version of Library 2.0 so far. My main concern is that it will not be able to be used on the job by many of us. Most 2.0 tools such as blogs and wikis are blocked in my district. I wonder how true that is across the state. Are there any reports on that?

School Librarians with 2.0 skills will start to drive districts to allow some or all 2.0 sites. It is somewhat of a "Catch 22" situation. Some schools allow Blogger.com while others allow only other blog sites. Help push the 2.0 envelope. JS

It's interesting how schools do eventually catch up--and they are going to be driven by kids and teachers and how they use these tools despite restrictions. When I first tried to blog I couldn't use Blogger from school and used Bloglines. Now Blogger is available from school and various instructors are starting to use it and other like tools.
